The scoop on Latisse & the truth behind "eyelid skin darkening"

I called on our friend Dr. Clary from The Eye Center to answer MY questions about Latisse, the product advertised ALL over television right now that claims to give you thicker, lusher eyelashes. Dr. Clary also gives us the 411 on eyelid skin darkening (a side effect listed in the commercial that definitely caught my attention).

WHAT IS LATISSE?

DOES LATISSE WORK?

HOW DO YOU APPLY IT?

SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH USE OF LATISSE (and yes... eyelid skin darkening DOES exist)

And finally ...

Do you have questions of your own about this "mysterious" Latisse? Ask them below in the comment section and I'll have Dr. Clary answer them!

Hi, Lynn-

I asked Dr. Clary to answer your question and here is his response: "If you stop using the product, the effects will gradually wear off until you are back to the point you began. This is due to the natural turnover of the eyelashes and would average around 3 months time. Basically, when your thicker lashes fell out due to natural turnover, they would be replaced by your normal ones."

Hope that helps!

he mentioned that the discoloration (if any) goes away when you stop using the product. If you stop using the product do the results stay, go back to what you started with or are your lashes going to be worse than when you started? I already have long lashes but not thick and i've been thinking of trying the product. Thanks for covering this!
