- I'm a community volunteer. My work is through Lower Richland Ruritan Club, and do all I can when possible for Columbia residents. I am the chairperson for the social development committee with a team of teens who put their best effort into all we do. Need help? Let me know.
I love animals. Dogs and birds top my list. Our menagerie consists of Beauregard, born Feb. 17, 1994, and Dixie Belle, born November 9, 1998 (both Jack Russells); Scooter Roo, born February 22, 2003, and Lulu, born August 24, 2007 (both chihuahuas); Layla, about two years old, is a rescue full German Shepherd; and Frazier, about two years old, a rescue St. Bernard/Lab mix. Gilligan, hatched July 1, 2004, a blue crown conure; and Skipper, a nanday conure, who was rescued from the wildlife by his own decision. Can't forget Cherry the black cat who is the head honcho of the barn.
I have three children. One is on his own and readying to buy his first home. He is a computer nut/geek/master-in-his-own mind, who can fix any PC. The middle child is a junior at Columbia College who will earn her art degree next year. And the baby is a sophomore in high school.
LOVE local shops and dining over chains. I crochet anything and love it. My worst addiction is yarn with anything for crafting second. Better than some things, I say.
